Practical notes for the trail.
Four small things that turn a good trip into a great one. None of them require gear you don’t already own.
What should I bring to Lake Bovilla?
Bring grippy sneakers or hiking boots for the loose, rocky trail, plus sunscreen, a hat, and at least one liter of water per person, shade is scarce from May to October. Carry cash (the mountain restaurant is cash-only) and download offline maps before leaving Tirana, since cell service drops inside the canyon.
